Day 6: Minneapolis

After a delicious breakfast served by our incredibly gracious host, Karen, we ventured out to explore Minneapolis. Jan has visited the city several times before, while it was a first for John-Arne. First, we visited the sculpture garden. Then we walked through Loring Park, where John-Arne proudly had his picture taken next to his fellow Norwegian, Ole Bull. Next on the agenda was a walk through the Skyway system that connects many buildings in downtown and allows people to stay indoor no matter if it is hot and sticky or freezing outside. We had lunch at the Crystal Court before we went up in the Foshay Tower to enjoy the view of the city. After that, we went out to Mall of America, the largest shopping mall in America. Here, Jan finally got his Cinnabun.. something that we unfortunately did not capture on camera. We did not shop till we dropped, but bought a few things before heading back to Karen's where we got yummy grill steaks for dinner....mmmmm
